Leaving and beyond

This section is here for those of you who are leaving or have left the CompanyThe BOC Group Limited..

The section outlines the options available to you on leaving. It also explains what happens if you become ill or die after leaving the SchemeThe BOC Pension Scheme. but before you retire.

When you leave you’ll automatically be sent a Leaver’s Pack and Leaving Statement. The Leaving Statement contains your personal figures at your leaving date. You can download the PDF document Leaver’s Pack or contact BOC Pension ServicesYou can contact us by writing to:

Your pension benefits will automatically be deferred when you leave the Scheme. For more information, look at Leaving your pension deferred.

You only need to contact BOC Pension Services if you want to:

  1. transfer your benefits to another arrangement (see Transferring your benefits); or
  2. receive your pension before Normal Retirement AgeYour 65th birthday, or any other age notified to you by your employer. (see If you retire as a Deferred Member).
You should note that once you have left the Company, you will no longer be covered for the lump sum death-in-service benefit. You may, therefore, wish to take out separate cover or check your new employer’s arrangements, if applicable.
