The Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) arrangement is available to Active MembersA member of the BOC Pension Scheme or the Gist Scheme who is making contributions or having contributions made on his or her behalf through Salary Exchange. of the BOC Pension Scheme and the Gist Scheme. The arrangement is called AVC section because it is a section of the BOC Retirement Savings Plan.
AVCs are extra payments you can choose to make (or have made through Salary Exchange on your behalf) on top of your normal contributions in order to receive additional benefits on retirement.
How do AVCs work?
AVC section is a defined contribution (DC) arrangement which means that your retirement benefits will be determined by:
